So don't judge us by this picture, our guys are all too sensitive to have thier picture taken in our branded clobber... but just a nod to the industry. Everyone seems to have gone down the route of branded work-wear. I even saw a window cleaner with his "Shimmering Shammies" t-shirt on today. Every bar has a black t-shirt emblazoned "STAFF". I wonder if they just get a job lot of those now I think about it?
So watch this space. We'll try to get someone to model our Polo's and Gillets. They look cool needless to say. and now the weather is about to turn there will be a run on our fleeces no doubt at all.
I am not a millionaire, I have set the company up from my dinning room, I have installers I have worked with over the years to call on, I have NIC Registered Electricians to sign off all my work, I have Gas Safe engineers, I have City and Guilds Plumbers and Tree Authorised Roofers.
I applied for a bank account, buying stock isn't cheap, organising labour isn't cheap, buying fuel isn't cheap, nor running a van, nor the phones, pads, internet, or accommodation for when we set off to do our installations... but the bank's computer says "no".
We've got some handsome chaps in the office, well, they think they are after two pints of Skol and a bag of Nobby's Nuts. How we can't tempt them in to standing still long enough to get a quick snap is a wonder in itself.
So we got an office... It's in Crawley, but hey ho... it's an office, it gets mail, we can put it on our stationery, it's on our website... but the banks computer says "no". "We can't accept virtual offices".
I don't NEED an office, the van is the office. I can't afford an office... I don't want an office... why do I need an office?
So, we have an accountant... HE has an office... can we use his office? Computer: No:

So this is Year One, Month One, Day One... we need an office. I am happy to say that we have an office... it's an expense I would rather not have to pay... but now we can apply for a bank account... then we can get on to the buying stock, filling the van, setting off on the road and helping people to save money on their energy bills, from a company who will actually give a damn.
